What Am I Doing in Lab This Week? Do I Need to Write an Obituary?

If you are making arrangements this week, you received information last week to help you research and prepare for your arrangement. This week you need to:

  • Arrive on time to Lab, dressed in a funeral suit
  • Bring any research or forms you need to share with your volunteer
  • Make arrangements with your volunteer
  • Work on your Self Assessment, which will be due in Lab next week
  • You DO NOT need to write or submit an Arrangement Obituary this week

If you are making arrangements next week, you will serve as the manager(s) this week, which involves:

  • Answering arranger questions as the funeral home manager
  • Answering any questions the arranger would normally make a phone call for (such as, "Is the church available this Saturday for a funeral?")
  • Legibly writing names, dates/times, etc. on the board to ensure all students have the same information to work from when writing their obituary notice.
  • You DO NOT need to write or submit an Arrangement Obituary this week
