As you develop your own system for creating open textbooks within your local publishing program, you will create resources that are helpful to others. Please consider openly licensing your resources. This not only supports your colleagues, but also contributes to a vision of a more open higher education landscape.

Examples from Unit 1 may include:

    1. A handout for faculty authors about open licenses.
    2. A workshop curriculum for working with faculty authors on determining the structure of their open textbook.
    3. A short demonstration video that explains structure to a faculty author audience.
    4. An open textbook that embodies best universal design and accessibility practices.
    5. Methodology for creating ancillaries.

Contact Karen Lauritsen (klaurits@umn.edu) if you have created a resource for this unit you would like to share.
