Announcements
Announcements are a way for instructors to communicate with an entire class about course activities, reminders, etc. You may be able to reply to an announcement (if your instructor has enabled this), however, your instructor will NOT be aware of your reply. If you need to get in touch with your instructor, it's best to use the Inbox.

- Similar to an email inbox, this allows you to communicate with your classmates, group members, and course instructor from within Canvas.
