Module 2: Video and Multimedia
Aims
Participants will recognize the importance of establishing “presence” in online courses and will explore video and multimedia assignments as a means of creating presence online. In addition, participants will be introduced to principles for creating video and multimedia and how they might use them in their courses.

- U of MN Libraries, "Profiles in Teaching and Learning with Student Media." Examples of student media assignments, including assignment documentation. Take a look at a few of these to get a feel for how your U of MN colleagues have used student multimedia assignments.
Activity
Practice creating a video that you might use to establish instructor presence in your online course. Your video could be a welcome to your course, an introduction to you as an instructor, or a brief piece of instructional content.
