If Faculty Have Technical Issues with Proctorio

If instructors need a consultation or assistance to enable and choose the Proctorio settings for an online exam, they need to contact academic technology support stuff in their departments or ATSS (atss@umn.edu).

In case of technical issues during the exam, instructors need to contact the Proctorio help center that is available through phone, email and chat 24/7 to troubleshoot any technical difficulties.

IMPORTANT:

If students are having technical issues  during the exam and email the instructor, the instructor will NOT be able to change the Proctorio settings.  Students must contact the Proctorio help center for troubleshooting assistance and provide:

  • a description of what a student tried to do and what happened,
  • what error message was displayed
  • what hardware /software they were using, etc.

The more details students can provide about their problem, the quicker the support stuff  will be able to resolve the issue.
