Taking an Exam with LockDown Browser Settings

When you are ready to take an exam, you should locate the LockDown Browser icon and double-click it.

• Windows users can find it on their desktop; Mac users can find it in their Applications folder.

If you have other applications open, you will see a pop-up window suggesting you close one or more programs before continuing. Click Kill these applications to have LockDown Browser do this for you.

You will then be prompted to log into your Canvas course site with your U of MN Internet ID and password.

Navigate to the exam and click on the Take the Quiz button to start the exam. When you have answered all questions,  click the Submit button and log out from Canvas.

Don't forget to close the Respondus LockDown Browser window. In the upper right corner of the browser window click the red X button.

Click Yes to confirm that want to quit Respondus LockDown Browser.

Your quiz has been submitted and you have been returned to your computer.
