UDOIT Errors
When the UDOIT report generates both Errors and Suggestions for a page, the first set of issues you will see are the Errors. Here is the list of possible Errors which will be explored in this guide:
- Alternative Text should not be the image filename
- Alternative Text is more than 100 characters
- Alt text for all img elements used as source anchors should not be empty
- Links should contain text*
- No table headers found*
- No row or column scopes declarations found in headers of the table*
- Insufficient text color contrast with the background*
- Headings should contain text*
- Synchronized captions should be provided for prerecorded web-based video*
Each of the Errors that end in an asterisk (*) have the possibility of being a false positive--a result that can be ignored as the accessibility issue has been handled in a way that UDOIT is not programmed to detect. These false results will be discussed in more detail on those pages and are listed with a brief description on Common False Results.
If UDOIT generates any additional Errors see Nearly Obsolete or Retired Results, and use the links provided to seek assistance.
