Track Your Impact: The Open Education Data Dashboard
Tracking the impact of your open education initiatives is important, and as a member of the OEN we offer you a tool to do just that.
The Open Education Data Dashboard was designed to meet the data collection and tracking needs of those running open education programs in higher ed. It supports data input from program administrators, including data about programs, events, workshops, adoptions, and enrollments.
The Data Dashboard also allows you to email faculty directly via Activity Requests Links to an external site., inviting them to review a textbook in the Open Textbook Library as a follow-up to the Introduction to OER Adoption workshop, or inviting them to update their OER adoption and enrollment information.
In addition to supporting your local programming and the collection of OER adoption data in one location the Open Education Data Dashboard may allow the OEN community to answer larger questions, such as adoption trends, effectiveness of programs, and identifying subject area gaps in open materials.
Using the Data Dashboard
When a new institution or consortium joins the OEN, the main OEN contact is added as the Data Dashboard administrator for that institution or consortium. Administrators have access to the Data Dashboard directly through the Community Hub. If you have any questions about the Data Dashboard, who the administrator is for your institution or consortium, or would like to edit that information, please contact Barb at thee0017@umn.edu.
Functionality of the Dashboard is driven by our members. As you begin to use the Data Dashboard, we welcome your feedback, as user input helps us ensure that it serves the needs of our community as best possible. If you have thoughts to share, please submit them via this form Links to an external site..
