Welcome Students!
What is Gopher Grad?
Gopher Grad: Bridge to Graduate School & Beyond initiative brings together University resources and programs to host a series of academic year workshops. These 90-minute workshops are geared towards students who identify as first-generation college students, Pell-eligible, and/or from an underrepresented community who are seeking a pathway to transform systems and are considering engaging in research and attending graduate school. Undergraduate students at any stage of their academic journeys are encouraged and welcome to attend.
Who can participate in Gopher Grad Workshops?
This initiative is open to students from across the state of Minnesota and participants in state-wide TRIO, Louis Stokes North Star STEM Alliance partners, and programs that are committed to keeping the educational opportunity pipeline to graduate school open for students from traditionally underserved and underrepresented communities.
Gopher Grad is specifically geared towards students who are looking to explore pursuing a master's degree or doctoral (PhD) degree. If you're interested in pursuing a health professional degree, such as medical school, we recommend visiting the Pre-Health Student Resource Center as they host many workshops and courses to prepare you for a health professional degree.
