Orientation, Advisement & Registration

Welcome to the University of Minnesota Duluth! We look forward to having your student join us this year. UMD is committed to the successful transition of every new student to the life and culture of the University community and also knows how important their support systems from home are. In this Orientation Portal we will provide you with key resources and quick links for you as you prepare for your student to start at UMD.

theDish webinar series will take place in January and will offer opportunities to learn important updates and details on things like Housing and Dining, Financial Aid, Health Services, Parking, UMD Stores and Winter Welcome etc.

Official communications from the University (including dates, deadlines, and Zoom links from Orientation, the Academic Advising Office of your College, Housing & Residence Life, and other University offices) will go to your student's UMD email account. It is critical that they check their UMD account regularly.
