Four Types of Financial Aid: Watch this presentation Links to an external site. on Scholarships, Federal/State Grants, Student Employment, and Federal/Private Loan programs.
- Scholarships: There are several websites that provide information on scholarships that are available nationwide.
- Loans: Need information on loan programs? Review the resources on the Federal Direct student loan program, the Minnesota SELF loan, the Federal Parent PLUS loan, or private lender options on the UMD OneStop website.
Native American Promise Tuition Program: This program ensures that students who are enrolled citizens of one of the eleven federally recognized Tribal Nations in Minnesota and meet the household income levels will have financial support to cover up to the cost of their tuition.
