About Vickie Schleuning
I am originally from the Black Hills, South Dakota. I currently work as the Executive Director for the Lake Minnetonka Conservation District responsible for managing all aspects of the organization and reporting to a 14-member board of directors. I have over 30 years of public management experience providing leadership in areas such as administration, construction and development, housing, environmental health and safety, code administration, and communications.
For six years, I was adjunct faculty teaching courses in Public Administration and Legal aspects at North Hennepin and Inver Hills Community Colleges. In addition, I led numerous educational, regulatory, and industry seminars and presentations. I have also served on various committees including legislation, educational, and technical review initiatives.
In addition to being an instructor for the University of Minnesota (U of M), I also received my MBA from the U of M. My undergraduate degrees are a Bachelor of Science degrees in Health Science and Microbiology, with a minor in Chemistry from South Dakota State University. I am also a Registered Environmental Health Specialist (REHS/RS) and received a project management certificate from the U of M. I completed the Baldridge Examiners Training Experience in 2014 regarding performance management.
