Pub101: An Orientation to Open Textbook Publishing

There are many ways to publish an open textbook! Also, it can be a lot of work.

Pub101 is a friendly orientation to open textbook publishing. It is designed for people, typically librarians, who support faculty in creating open textbooks. With Pub101 we want to help you anticipate some common issues, and offer guidance learned from experience. 

You're welcome to move through the Pub101 curriculum asynchronously. In addition, the Open Education Network offers a synchronous experience. Join us to be part of an informal Pub101 cohort! These live, online sessions are typically held annually in the spring, when open textbook publishing leaders discuss key topics and resources for an hour a week for 7 weeks. 

Pub101 Committee

The Open Education Network formed the Pub101 Committee to ensure a community-driven Pub101 experience. We want you to feel supported! Our committee is responsible for revising this Canvas curriculum and planning the live cohorts.
