Module 6, Applied OEP Overview (1 week)

Learning Objectives

  • Identify effective OEP for curriculum, assessments, instruction, and instructional evaluation. 
  • Develop clear, measurable, scaffolded student learning outcomes and new academic/content language. 
  • Design inclusive and renewable assignments aligned to course outcomes. 
  • Create differentiated instruction aligned to objectives and assessments and incorporate aspects of universal design for learning (UDL). 
  • Assess learning and aspects of the instructional design.

Overview

This module focuses on the practical application of open educational practices and how you might communicate that value to a variety of audiences. It includes a review of the DOERS3 rubric and the role of OEP in tenure and promotion. In addition, you will address some final questions as a completion of your OEP Action Plan and look ahead to the Project Symposium and spring implementation of your OEP projects.
