You hear about a great restaurant, get complete and detailed directions, set out on your culinary adventure… only to find that, when you arrive at your destination, the restaurant is closed. Now imagine yourself as a student who uses a screen reader. You have successfully navigated a well laid-out and accessible course… only to find that, when you arrive at the course materials, the documents are not accessible.

What ever the document type, there are six Core Skills that can be applied to make the document more accessible to users of adaptive technology.
