Welcome to "Science Applications"!
In this module, you'll hear about Earth and environmental science applications.
Lecture 1: Science focus: Nanospectroscopy with STXM 5.3.2.2: Environmental science applications
The first video in this Canvas Module is a virtual tutorial presentation by Dr. Matthew Marcus. In Matthew's 45 minute lecture, he provides an overview of Earth and environmental studies that applied X-ray spectromicroscopy approaches.

The second video in the Module is a workshop presentation by Dr. Brandy Toner. In Brandy's 30 minute lecture, she demonstrates how X-ray spectromicroscopy, along with other complementary tools, can be used to study iron speciation and mobility in the ocean.
