WELLBEING - a term that gets used a lot. But what’s it mean? Wellbeing is about recognizing, and balancing, components which together create an overall sense of contentment. UMD identifies the following dimensions as equally important

Mind (intellect, emotion, spirit)
Body (physical health, exercise)
Sense of purpose (values, passions, abilities)
Connectedness (culture community)
Environment (sustainability, safety)
Economic (employment pursuits, financial security)

Your student being able to assess their wellbeing is a good starting point - there is a tool from one of our sister campuses called Taking Charge that offers ideas to get your student started.
