Additional Guidance:
- I expect students to abide by Carlson School ethics policy.
- Please note that ALL exams are closed book, closed notes unless EXPLICITLY stated. While taking the exam, students should not have any other documents open (besides the exam and the syllabus).
- Some exams might require mathematical proofs. You can hand-write the proofs on the notepad, and upload them on canvas as a photo or a pdf (the copying machine in CSOM 3-150 will allow you to make a pdf, and email it to yourself, and me). Please turn in a hard-copy of all the documents you upload on canvas to me.
- A couple of exams might require statistical analysis for which data will be provided. You can use EXCEL on your laptop or run STATA or R from the LATIS' Windows server cluster (WTS). WTS can be accessed by any Windows computer. For more information please go to: https://latisresearch.umn.edu/windows-environment-primarily-wtsumnedu
BEST practices:
- Begin each question on a separate page
- Label the questions correctly
- Write legibly
- Upload files in the correct tabs on canvas.
- For any hand-written pages, please # the pages on the top-right hand corner, and initial your name on each page. This way they are likely to not get mixed up if faculty print the exams.
You have 3 hours (180 Minutes) to complete the exam, and an additional 45 minutes to upload/download and access software. Good luck.
