Define urban agriculture and evaluate how it is used to fulfill social, educational, environmental, and economic functions
Deepen understanding of the complexity of agricultural ecosystems and food systems within an urban framework, and gain skill in conducting inquiry and investigation of these systems
Strengthen oral and written communication skills
Become familiar with a range of university and community resources and avenues for participation
Gain self-awareness of personal cultural attitudes, values and privileges
Gain appreciation of differences and the value of interacting with individuals with backgrounds and/or perspectives different from your own
