Week 2 Discussion: Crafting OER Pitches for 3 Audiences
- Due Mar 13, 2020 by 11:59pm
- Points 0
- Submitting a discussion post
Given what you wrote in the Week 1 discussion forum about your institution's environment, and what you've learned so far about open education, how might you pitch open education as a method for addressing your institution's needs?
-
Draft three targeted pitches for open education aimed at each of these three stakeholders: students, faculty, and administration.
- Each of these pitches should be tailored not just to the type of audience but for the specific experiences of students, faculty, and administrators at your institution.
- In addition to those arguments, identify key statistics that can be customized for your state and/or institution.
Your responses to cohort members this week are optional and may take the form of peer review. Imagine yourself as a member of the audience they're addressing with their pitch. What would resonate with you? What “devil’s advocate” questions might you have? Are there additional points that you'd want them to address?
Please review the guidelines for discussions in this course.
Due dates:
- Initial discussion post: Friday, March 13 (11:59 pm local time)
- Response post (optional): Sunday, March 15 (11:59 pm local time)
