Purpose

This module is focused on introducing the topics that will be present in ENGR 1222: Introduction to Solid Modeling.

Outcomes

After successfully completing this module, you will be able to:

  • Understand the main objectives of this course.

  • Learn how to access Solidworks and do basic sketching.

  • Be able to create a simple Solidworks part.

  • Explain the importance of engineering drawings to convey and represent information as a visual language.

  • Identify the 10 common line types mean in Engineering Drawings called Alphabet of Lines.

  • Explain the reasoning behind the order for precedence of lines.
