• • • There are well over 22,000 Mexican citizens awaiting news about an organ transplant in Mexico. Salvador Aburto Morales, the director of the National Transplant Center in Mexico, hopes that if his fellow Mexican citizens are informed of the impact of organ and tissue donation, they may be more likely to donate and save a life. Director Aburto-Morales believes that the COVID-19 pandemic is responsible for the decline in donations in recent years.

• • • The Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC) music festival heads way at the Hermanos Rodríguez Autodrome this weekend. It is estimated that over 200,000 people attended this weekend’s music festival. EDC holds festivals annually in Mexico, Las Vegas, Orlando, and a few other venues. These festivals last the whole weekend and are a combination of music, drinking, food, and light shows.

The Mexican military has called upon an air force plane to rescue Latinos that have escaped from Ukraine to Romania. Recently, the Mexican government has ruled that they will also take refugees originating from neighboring countries.
