- I found this particular news report very interesting as it touches on the issues that have become
a norm due to the COVID pandemic. - The main focus here is zoom online visits for the elderly and memorial services taking place at Zojoji Temple. As the elderly are much more vulnerable to the virus, the visits on new years were nice touch in easing their worries even though it was not in person.
- Being able to visit the shrine lifted the moods of the elderly. Participants also got to see a superb view of a snow-covered Tokyo tower and of city which rarely happens.
- Overall the goal was to get the elderly in different facilities nationwide to come together and celebrate a new year regardless of it being online.
