Sweden drones: Sightings reported over nuclear plants and palace Sweden is dealing with drones flying over important places. These places include nuclear plants, parliament and government buildings, airports, and the royal palace. A helicopter was seen following one of the drones in hopes to find who is controlling them. These drones are described as military styled and have large wings. Sweden is asking anyone with any information to come forward.

Sweden boosts patrols on Gotland amid Russia tensions Sweden has increased their visible activities on their largest island, Gotland. This comes following the increasing tensions between NATO and Russia, along with the recent deployment of a Russian landing craft in the Baltic Sea. Sweden is not a current member of NATO but has extremely close ties with the alliance. Sweden has years of issues with Russia being in the Baltic Sea and has been increasing their security for a while. Sweden has also stated that they could be undermined if NATO agrees to what Russia has demanded from them.

Sweden to help households as electricity prices soar Sweden has announced they will help around 1.8 million households by providing them with compensation to pay their electricity bills this winter. One individual has to pay 10,400 kronor (1,150 USD) for their electricity and many in the country need to take out loans in order to pay their bills. Cold temperatures this winter have increased and the gas prices in Europe are continuing to rise. In the southern half of the country, where the most Swedes live, prices have increased between 266% and 361% from the previous year. The finance minister hopes this will help the Swedes who are affected by these price increases.
