Discuss

This module discusses the importance of proper fleet management. It is an important function of many organizations since it has one of the highest numbers of work-related accidents and fatalities, whether company owned capital or personal vehicles. 

Part 1: Initial Post

  1. You are the fleet manager of a company that has just hired 10 new drivers. What do you think are the most important or most challenging elements of a training program based on the safety practices discussed in this chapter. Why?
  2. Select a federal and a state regulation and propose changes. Include justifications, economic impacts, and resultant improvements in realized safety. (This should include a gap-analysis work product with graphical displays of economic side and cost-benefit analysis.) Post for other students to view.
