This module discusses the management of the environment and potential hazards such as CBRNE (chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, explosive) and its impact on the work environment.
Part 1. Initial Post
- Select a state with an approved state implementation plan (SIP) and then describe the regulatory requirements for a company wanting to expand or change a production process or otherwise increase its output of a criteria air pollutant.
- What is the difference between maximum contaminant levels (MCL) and maximum contaminant level goals? Provide an example of a product and MCL, its implications, and why we should be concerned.
- RCRA was enacted by Congress in 1976 and amended in 1984. How effective has it been and provide an example supporting your statement.
- What is the minimum number of hours of training required for workers who will respond to hazardous material spills and releases? What are some factors that determine the amount of training?
