Student access to Mathematica
Mathematica on Students' Personal Devices
Computers (desktop and laptop), some tablets
You should be able to download Mathematica and request the activation key by creating an account on the wolfram portal using your UMM email address at this link:
Mathematica on Campus Computers
Mathematica is available on all the computers on campus (link to computer labs). If you need to use Mathematica for a class, you can always access it on one of the computers in any of the computer labs on campus.
Can You Use Mathematica After Graduation?
You can obtain Mathematica if you are a recent college graduate by signing up for the Wolfram Early Professionals Program Links to an external site.. The skills you develop using Mathematica allow you to use other CAS more easily, so you may find your new workplace uses Maple or MATLAB, or you can try out the open-source SageMath.

Why Is Mathematica Important?
Experience with a computer algebra system (CAS) such as Mathematica, Maple, MATLAB, or SageMath is increasingly important for anyone majoring in math or a closely related area like physics where computation and algebraic calculations are extensively used.
Mathematica is deeply integrated in the mathematics program at Morris, and is a core part of Calculus I and Calculus II but also is used in more advanced courses like Differential Equations, Calculus III, Linear Algebra, and Numerical Methods. The skills you develop using Mathematica allow you to use other CAS more easily.
