- Due Jan 28, 2024 by 11:59pm
- Points 4
- Submitting a website url
Learning Objectives
- Identify concrete examples of OEP and evaluate their suitability for different communities of practice and modes of learning as well as limitations and challenges to their effectiveness.
- Begin to analyze the connection between OEP and related values-based practices such as Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and Lambert’s framework for social justice.
Assignment Overview
This activity will begin to get us thinking about examples of open educational practices that have been shared by other practitioners, how faculty can incorporate OEP into the classroom, and how librarians can support faculty in those endeavors. For this week, the faculty/librarian work will be both separate and collaborative, just as it will be in future assignments.
Each faculty and librarian will identify a case study example from one of the following repositories: Open Pedagogy Project Roadmap Links to an external site., Faculty/Librarian Collaborations Links to an external site., or the Open Pedagogy Notebook Links to an external site..
As you consider the OEP case study you identified, consider how you could build that practice into your curriculum or support those that would want to build that practice into their curriculum, while taking into consideration Universal Design for Learning principles and Lambert’s Principles of Social Justice. Answer the Module 2 questions on your copy of the OEP Action Plan Links to an external site..
Note: In order to submit your completed portion of the Action Plan each week, click on the "Start Assignment" box and then post the "Share" link for your Google Doc. Please use the following permission setting: Anyone with the link can comment.
