And in our Readings we’ll visit their neighbors in Brazil and Argentina.
And for dessert this week we’ll enjoy some Sweet Treats around the World, offered up by Tim and Kim.

Outcomes
-
- After our "trip" Bolivia to visit the Aymara weaver women you should be able to recognize the "Units of Analysis" being used in their study, and whether their study represents an EMIC or ETIC viewpoint.
- Based on what was presented in the video Tejiendo Relatos you should be able to construct a "rough draft" of what could be a viable cultural metaphor for the Aymara.
- You should also to clearly wonder how the picture of the Aymara weavers might change if the filmmakers had chosen to to a comparison/contrast treatment with other famous weavers such as the famed Navajo weavers of Southwestern U.S.A., the celebrated master weavers of Irish Tweed, the Avoca weavers in Ireland (the oldest mill in the country), the Harris Weavers of the Isle of Harris/Lewis in Scotland, weavers of Oaxaca in Mexico, silk weavers of China and India, rug weavers of Persia (Iran), or the Ilocano of northwestern Philippines.
Or even individual weavers of the world: "10 Weavers to get you Weaving" Links to an external site..
