Example: Role play assignment (with Zoom)

This example demonstrates how to use an online Zoom meeting to implement a role play assignment.

For this assignment students are assigned into 3 teams. Each team will be give a humanitarian crisis case and need to  identify what information needs to be collected to develop an emergency assistance plan adn who are the key players from the community who need to be involved in the relief planning.

When students join the meeting, they will be sent to the breakout rooms to work on their case for 1 hour. After that the whole class will re-convene, and each group will present their case and a proposed relief planning document.  

Zoom can also be used to support for group work, performance/skills evaluations,  office hours, one-on-one or small group consultations,  interviews, poster session, etc.
