Learning Objectives

  • Identify effective OEP practices for curriculum, assessments, instruction, and instructional evaluation. 
  •  Develop clear, measurable, scaffolded student learning outcomes and new academic/content language. 
  •  Design inclusive and renewable assessments aligned to course outcomes. 
  •  Create differentiated instruction aligned to objectives and assessments and incorporate aspects of universal design for learning (UDL). 
  • Assess learning and aspects of the instructional design.

Assignment Overview

As you reflect upon the resources read and viewed for this module and how you may apply them to the renewable assignment created in the previous modules as well as to your OEP project implemented in the spring, please compose answers to the questions on the OEP Action Plan Links to an external site.for Module 6: Student Empowerment and Agency.

Note: In order to submit your completed portion of the Action Plan each week, click on the "Start Assignment" box and then post the "Share" link for your Google Doc. Please use the following permission setting: Anyone with the link can comment.

Guidelines

  1. Read Library Support for Scaffolding OER-Enabled Pedagogy in a General Education Science Course Links to an external site. and review Module C1 of the Open Pedagogy Project RoadMap. Links to an external site.
  2. Complete the Module 6 questions in the OEP Action Plan.  (Links to an external site.) 
    • You will be working together on this process, so be sure to dedicate some time during this module to connect. You may want to work asynchronously via email, or choose to connect in-person/over Zoom to consider the questions in the Action Plan.
