Make sure you include the packing material, spring, washer, belt, and screws/bolts in the individual project.

When you brought in your subassemblies into the final assembly did the pulleys stop rotating? Make sure to make the subassembly flexible.  See video below.

Cosmetic threads can be shown as stripes on your part - go to Options>Document Properties>Detailing and check the Cosmetic Threads and Shaded Cosmetic Threads boxes. See image below.
